Lu Engineers led the design and construction inspection team providing professional engineering services as prime on this $1.2 million Gouverneur Riverwalk Pedestrian Bridge in St. Lawrence County.
This LAFA project included the construction of a 240 foot single span pedestrian bridge spanning the Oswegatchie River connecting Harry L. Mills Memorial Park with the Riverview Recreation Park. The bridge is a truss structure supported by concrete abutments and provides a clear width of 12 feet.
New sidewalk (750 m) was installed along NYS Rte 58 connecting Riverview Recreation Park with the Village of Gouverneur. The sidewalk construction required various drainage modifications that were coordinated with the NYSDOT.
