Lu Engineers used GIS to store, analyze, and map data at the Former Frink America Site in Clayton, New York. Lu Engineers staff used GIS to determine the horizontal and vertical extent of contamination which led to the selection of an appropriate remediation method. The Field Team Leader used 3-D GIS images on a daily basis to make real-time decisions regarding excavation limits of the contamination. These 3-D images compared field data to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regulatory standards.
