For the past 8 years Lu Engineers has been providing environmental compliance services for the addition and alterations to the Monroe County Public Safety Building. Currently Lu Engineers is working on Phase IV which includes full renovations to the space currently occupied by the crime lab. As with the past 3 phases, Lu Engineers is conducting a hazardous material assessment including asbestos, lead, mold and PCB’s and will be providing asbestos design services including abatement drawings, NYSDOL site specific variances and construction specifications. During construction Lu Engineers provides Monroe County with construction administration services including answering questions during the pre-bid phase, issuing any required addenda, and reviewing contractor submittals. Lu Engineers also provides air and project monitoring during asbestos abatement.
