Silage Leachate Collection & Manure Storage

Lu Engineers performed professional engineering and surveying services for Schreiberdale Farms, a 700 cow dairy farm, in Perry, NY. Design and certification for various Best Management Practices (BMPs) were provided and done in accordance with USDA Natural Resource Conservation Standards (NRCS).
The BMP included curtain drains, vegetated treatment area for high flows, silage bunkers, concrete manure storage and inspection and certification of an existing earthen manure storage lagoon. We also performed surveying services to prepare the base mapping, establish existing contours, locate all physical features, and establish benchmarks to be used during construction.
