Agricultural Waste Storage Structure

Lu Engineers provided design and construction inspection of a one million gallon agricultural waste management facility for the Greenview dairy cow farm. The agricultural waste storage structure was designed in accordance with USDA NRCS Standard NY 313.
A pump station was designed to transfer the milk house waste into the storage facility. The existing septic system was failing due to the large volume of milk house waste being generated due to a recent expansion of the dairy. An overall site plan with all physical features, buildings and existing contours was provided.
