Lu Engineers has experience in a variety of
traffic engineering studies and design for urban and regional roadways,
corridors, bike/pedestrian routes, neighborhood streets and intersections
and development projects. Clients include developers, federal, state and
county agencies and the New York State Department of Transportation. Our Traffic Engineers have expertise in all aspects of traffic engineering, including signal design, roadway geometrics, parking and traffic calming. We are skilled in the use of traffic assignment / forecasting software and traffic operations / simulations models such as HCS 2000 and TRANSYT-7F. One of the ways we obtain traffic information is with Nu-Metrics traffic sensors. This equipment uses tiny, low-powered, solid-state magnetic sensors to provide detailed data on the vehicles passing overhead. This data can be used to determine where speeding occurs, to measure traffic volume and vehicle types, and to detect road and weather conditions. |
