Water Supply, Treatment & Distribution

Lu Engineers provides engineering services for the planning and design of
potable water distribution, pumping and treatment facilities. Our
involvement with potable water collection and treatment has grown with the
demand for new, more efficient, and more economical methods of providing
potable water to expanding communities. The scope of our services has ranged
from the design of over 100 miles of water distribution mains, booster
pumping stations, water storage tanks to the design and upgrades of entire
water treatment plants.Lu Engineers provides complete services for new
treatment plants, the expansion or rehabilitation of existing plants,
re-ratings to increase capacity with minimal construction costs, projects to
meet increased water quality requirements, and sludge management projects,
including dewatering and storage facilities.
Lu Engineers has also designed pump stations, water storage tanks, water
transmission mains and distribution systems for municipal and private water
systems throughout much of New York State. Our experience includes
groundwater and surface water source development, computer modeling of
distribution systems, the evaluation of existing systems for leak detection,
fire flow capacity and friction factor testing and water treatment plant
design. |
