Engineers provides comp-rehensive bridge rehabilitation and replacement
design services for transportation agencies and municipalities throughout
New York State. Our firm has received awards and recognition for innovative
concepts in bridge design. Our expertise ranges from the replacement of
simple 2-lane bridges over sensitive waterways to the reconstruction of
complex bridge structures.
Lu's bridge design staff will bring a project through the initial scoping
phases, evaluate alternative structure types, and perform the preliminary
design, final design, and support during construction. Our in-house staff
can provide bridge feasibility studies that include alignment studies,
environmental investigations, structural engineering, cost estimates, and
traffic modeling to determine future traffic volumes. We have experience
designing with a variety of materials including steel, concrete,
pre-stressed concrete, and timber for all types of bridges. Our in-depth
understanding of construction staging will help to minimize any unnecessary
impacts to the commuters and residents of the local community.
Lu Engineers has an experienced staff of engineers and bridge inspectors who
perform bridge inspections, load ratings, scour evaluations, and a wide
variety of other bridge design related services for state and municipal
clients. Our work has included biannual, underwater and railroad bridge
inspections. We have NISET inspectors who are fully knowledgeable with
current NYSDOT, FHWA and AASHTO inspection and load rating requirements. Our
experience includes inspecting numerous major long-span bridges as well as
bridges with high traffic volumes.
